Created for the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority and all ten Boroughs of Greater Manchester. 

This is a free database for people to register their details in order to offer a lift, receive a lift, or share a journey to anywhere, whether it's for work or leisure.  Although the site is primarily for people who live, work or visit Halton (Runcorn and Widnes) it is open to anyone.

This site has been designed to enable you to carshare in and around Merseyside. 

Shared Wheels has been developed in partnership by Blackpool Council, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster University. The aim of the website is to maximise your travel options whilst helping to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. By registering with Shared Wheels and sharing some of your car journeys you will be helping to make our roads cleaner, safer and traffic free. Shared Wheels will also enable you to save money, improve accessibility and mobility and help to build social networks. Shared Wheels is not just about the journey to work it will also help you plan your leisure and recreational journeys, such as trips to the shops and sporting events.
