CarshareBirmingham, the city's car share matching service, has been developed by Jambusters Limited for Birmingham City Council and endorsed by the West Midlands Police. Promoted alongside the City Council's Company TravelWise initiative, CarshareBirmingham is specifically aimed at employers wanting to make a positive contribution towards reducing traffic congestion or to reduce their on-site parking needs.

CarshareBirmingham is a free service available to individuals through affiliated companies and brings together potential matches from the same employer or those employers in close proximity who have agreed to cross reference employees to increase matching potential.

We aim to target our customers who drive to all of our 18 train stations. Our stations are situated in London, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Birmingham and the West Midlands. We also try to encourage our customers using our services from London underground stations and other train company stations to join the car share scheme.

Sandwell Carshare is a free service that enables people who live and work in and around Sandwell to search for potential travel companions. The website also enables people to search the whole of the liftshare database to find a match anywhere in the West Midlands and the rest of the UK.  People without internet access can register their journeys and search for matches by calling 08700 11 11 99. The main target area for the service is the Black Country borough of Sandwell, ie West Bromwich, Smethwick, Wednesbury, Tipton, Oldbury and Rowley Regis. We are currently the only publically accessible branded car share scheme (ie branded differently to the main Liftshare website) in the West Midlands metropolitan area.

Worcestershire CarShare has been developed by Worcestershire County Council in partnership with Jambusters Limited to provide a county-wide car share database. The scheme development has been funded through the Local Transport Plan capital budget.
